I stopped working. Completely. No expectations. I let myself do nothing. I got bored. I binge-watched TV shows. I wrote without a plan. I simply existed, allowing my mind and body to breathe.
Here’s the truth: energy coaches burn out too. Just like doctors catch colds. But the difference is recognizing the signs early and knowing what to do.
This isn’t the first time I’ve been here. Burnout is what originally led me to energy work years ago. Back then, I was in severe depression and barely functional. Therapy helped, but I also had to figure out how to rebuild my energy—physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
Now, after 7+ years of energy work with myself and clients, I’ve learned to spot the signs earlier and act faster. While burnout used to take years to recover from, I caught it this time in just a couple of weeks.
My Quick Reset Plan
Here’s how I’m getting back to balance:
1. A Week Off
Running my own business means I can take time off when I need it. I’m giving myself total freedom to pause work and just be.
2. Freedom to Do Anything I Want
I’m letting go of structure. Sure, I’ve peeked at my inbox and checked messages out of habit. But I’m aiming to let my brain fully relax by the end of this week.
3. Nature, Nature, Nature
Hours spent at the beach and in parks have been my biggest reset. For me, cold salty water is a personal high-energy resource. It reconnects me to the earth and restores my clarity.
